This journal begins with a belief: experience becomes more useful when it is offered with honesty and received with care.
Recovery can feel intensely private, but it was never meant to become another form of isolation. A sentence that helped one person through an ordinary Tuesday may help someone else recognize a choice on Thursday. A small practice, an honest repair, or the decision to ask for help can travel farther than the writer will ever know.
The WE Journal is not an unguarded message board. Members may keep drafts private, offer a story to the member community, or ask that it be considered for the public journal. Nothing submitted for others appears automatically. Every shared story is reviewed for privacy, dignity, safety, and usefulness.
No one has to reveal a legal name or tell the most dramatic part of a life. Write what is yours to share. Protect the identities and stories of other people. Leave the reader with something honest enough to recognize and practical enough to carry.
This first page belongs to WE: the people who have survived hard seasons, the people still finding their footing, and the people willing to turn lived experience into a light someone else can use.
